AIDS Walk 2009 Campaign
AFAN asked CDI to put a new spin on their previous Everyone Walks theme for the 2009 AIDS Walk. Inspired by the cultural, racial, and political diversity of the participants we encountered at the Walk each year, we dreamed up this bold and fresh concept that inspired sponsors and walkers alike to make it their own. This campaign won a Silver Award the the AIGA Las Vegas Work Show X.

DISH Las Vegas Invite
When Three Square asked us to design an invite for DISH, an exclusive charity event starring celebrity chefs and Vegas entertainers, we concocted this fun and functional pinwheel showcasing the culinary and comedic talent, lovingly wrapped in a warm, fresh-baked custom envelope. Great times and great food were had by all – and all for a good cause.

Blue - Building Lives Up Everywhere Logo
Looking to generate more enthusiasm and freshen up the image of their Employee Volunteer Program, Southwest Gas approached us to create a new name and look for what became Blue - Building Lives Up Everywhere.

Our visual inspiration came from the friendly blue flame of natural gas, our client's principal commodity. Since rebranding, that same inspiration has propelled even more Southwest employees to join Blue and volunteer in their communities.

Three Square Logo
When we developed the brand identity for Three Square, there was nothing else like it out there. The organization is a one-of-a-kind collaboration between the hospitality industry, local businesses, non-profits, and the community to work toward ending hunger in Southern Nevada.

This diversity and collaboration is represented by a mosaic pattern of people and utensils, combining to form a unified whole. The name Three Square recalls the idiom "three square meals" – a basic necessity for life no one should go without.

The web has become a powerful tool for non-profits to connect with potential advocates and donors. We created a comprehensive website for Three Square that made the case for ending hunger in Southern Nevada. The site included statistics on the impact of hunger on our community, a calendar of events and opportunities to get involved, and an online donation tool.

Command & Conquer Series Video Game Packaging
Redwood-based Electronic Arts utilized CDI Studios to deliver a consistent "line-look" to their popular windows based video game franchise; real-time strategy juggernaut Command & Conquer. From package design to CD and game manual production, CDI Studios worked closely with internal teams to achieve its now signature look.

Obscure Holiday Button Cards
In the interests of spreading holiday cheer, we leapfrogged simple Christmas cards and started turning out a new obscure holiday card and button for every month of the year.

These cards were a huge hit with our clients, and got us a People's Choice of the Decade award at AIGA Las Vegas Work Show X.

Julie Anne's, a locally-owned bakery and café, specializes in fresh, wholesome comfort food. The stationery system's rich, kraft-style stock and hand-applied stickers gives it a warm, homey feel and the same touch of personal attention Julie gives to every one of her recipes.

There's something about successful brands that goes right past safe business terms like "unit cost" and "ROI" and on into the cloudier realm of "how people feel about stuff." The trick is nudging those feelings about your brand in the right direction; providing that intangible something people identify with, get excited about, and love.
